Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park - The Short Tree and The Bird Who Couldn't Sing
A wacky and charming fable of an unlikely friendship between a tree that resents it's roots and a
spunky, unflappable birth with a horrible singing voice. As their relationship builds around the
joys of music, storytelling, the weather and the stars, the friends must navigate the ups and downs
of getting to know one another, growing closer and suddenly finding themselves apart. An
entertaining and original story for children.
Muleskinners - New Lyceum Artist
Bill, Jim, Ed, and Gary have come together as The Muleskinner Band, bringing their individual
musical background, experiences, and influences with them. The musical offerings on a given evening
will span Big Mon to Buck, Patsy to Merle, Gospel to the Drifters, Doobie Brothers to Crosby,
Stills, & Nash. Great vocal harmony is a centerpiece of every Muleskinner rendering, as is solid
instrumental backing and soloing. An evening with the Muleskinners will certainly include frequent
and prolific storytelling, humor, and good-hearted dialogue with the audience.
Mike Albert's "Ultimate Tribute" show has become known worldwide for the respectful portrayal of the late Elvis Presley. Mike won several major world "Elvis" contests, and demand for his shows resulted in putting together a seven piece Big "E" Band, to emulate the sound Elvis' band had in the Vegas shows and on tour. Mike's style, charisma, and his ability to get the audience involved in the show have proved to be quite the crowd pleaser.
Mike's powerful voice lends itself well to every type of Elvis' music - 50's, 60's and 70's rock and roll and love songs.
